Guess who is the 2nd fastest growing ad market in the world

Qatar is home to the second fastest-growing ad market in the world, according to a new study.
The report, by ZenithOptimedia, says the country’s ad market will grow by 214.7% by 2009 from 2006 levels.
The UAE comes fifth on the list of the 10 fastest-growing markets.

Regionally, the Middle East is identified as a “stand-out growth region.”
A 2008 growth of 17.2% is expected for the Middle East and Africa.
The report also says that, despite challenges from digital media and elsewhere, TV will increase its share of global ad expenditure to 38.2% in 2008 – an all-time high.
Internet advertising will grow by 85% between 2006 and 2009, according to the report.
Serbia tops the list of rapidly-expanding ad markets with a predicted growth of 308.8%.
Other countries featuring on the list are Kazakhstan, Egypt, Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus and Romania.
